“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31

In the past I thought that once a fellow is filled with the Holy Ghost, he/she would forever be filled, but I later discovered that there are several levels of being filled. For example, a rechargeable lamp that is fully charged will be able to work for a number of hours before it dies and then it would need to be recharged in order to function at optimum level again.

This is the same about being filled with the Holy Ghost. As you do Gods work here on earth, your battery is going down and will need recharging with fresh fire as this will enable you to cope with the daily challenges of life. For you to have this fire, you must live in holiness and in the fear of God. Thereafter, engage in consistent prayers to receive fresh fire from the Holy Ghost daily.

Many Christians are unable to preach the gospel to win souls, heal the sick, deliver those in bondage, raise the dead et cetera because they lack the fire. God wants to give you power. Why not go before Him today, thirsty for fresh fire?
