Update as of 19th March 2020 10pm

Dear Beloved,

In light of the current COVID-19 epidemic, RCCG Canada office would like to encourage everyone not to work in fear as we are under the covering of the Sovereign Lord (Psalm. 91). Our God is able to turn this pandemic around into a tool to reach out to souls, so let’s fix our eyes on Jesus and not on the storm around (Matthew 14:29-30). Let us intensify in our prayers and be the priest that will draw a line between death and life (Numbers 16:48) in our cities.

You are encouraged to stay informed with the recommendations in your provinces/cities and pay close attention to the situation around as we are the light of hope in our communities. Health Canada has put together some guidelines that could help us in making informed decisions about our services and programs at this time. They have also put hygiene tips in place for us to follow both at home and in our churches. As faithful stewards of our communities, note that adhering to these recommendations does not equate to an act of fear, rather comes from a position of responsibility.

With the new guideline placing restriction on maximum allowable number in a single gathering let us use every technology available: teleconference lines, live streaming etc to connect, pray and encourage each other corporately (Acts 1:14). We should continuously ensure that physical fellowship within the allowable limit is not forsaken. Remember where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is (Matt. 18:20); when men’s heart fail for fear, then it is time to look upward (Lk.21:26-28). Prayers of agreement physical and virtually is key to our survival.

Let not your heart be troubled, you are in our prayers! We trust God for peace restoration in our nations and we know the name of the Lord will be glorified through it all in Jesus name!

God bless and keep you in Jesus name.
