Psalm 46:1-3 – God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains shake with its swelling.
Throughout scripture we see where the life of a Christian is often compared to a series of battles.
In spite of the fact that life is a constant series of battles we Christians have an assurance on today that God is our refuge, strength and very present help in the midst of them all, therefore, there is no need to fear nor fight our battles alone.
Going into battle in your own way and your own strength is to say that the battle belongs to me and not God. Therefore, God will move aside and let you fight it until you get tired and realize that you need Him to fight with you. Surrendering the battle to God and submitting to His will for our lives will bring success and victory because God is the one fighting for us and not we ourselves.
God is Mighty in Power and in Strength. Who can stand against our God? No one!
When Israel’s mass group of enemies came against them in 2 chronicles 20 God spoke these words to them through Jahazielin vs#15- “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
God will silences satan in our life as we lift up the Name of Jesus and declare God’s Word. People of God keep praising Him, keep trusting Him, keep believing Him, keep worshiping and keep speaking His word out of your mouth.
Psalm 24:8- Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
1 Corinthians 15:57- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
God has already promised us victory before the foundation of the world and He has secured our victory through Christ Jesus, therefore, we have no need to fight for the battles of life that belongs to God.
The Apostle Paul puts it this way in Romans 8:37-We are more than a conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us.
People of God take your stand on the finished work of Christ and already see yourself victorious through Christ.
In doing this you will also see that there is no need for you to fight life’s battles alone for God declares to us on today that He is our refuge and strength.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Power regardless of how fierce the battle may appear to be. BE STILL AND KNOW THAT GOD IS GOD!
God bless you and do tell the Lord thank you for being our Mighty Warrior in the times of life’s battles.
