Salvation is Found in No One Else
Acts 4:12-“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
There are a lot of things in this world that people worship. There are all types of religions to chose from and there are all kinds of things and people one can choose to believe in.
The lies of the world says “it does not matter what you believe because we are all on the same journey, even though we are taking different paths.”
Jesus says in Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell[a] is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”
Let’s think about what our text says today. (1) There is no one to save you but Jesus. Safety is found in no one else. It is not found in other people, status, title, money, material possessions, our children, spouses, etc. Jesus is it!
Peter and John declares and proclaims these words to their listeners: “there is no name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”. I declare and proclaim these same words to you on today.
There is a choice to be made today. Call on the name of Jesus and be saved or call on the name of your other gods and die eternally separated from the true and living God.
Because of our inherited sin from Adam, our first father, we need to be saved from the penalty of sin and death.
Romans 5:12-When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.
Romans 5:18-19 – Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
The point being made today is there is no other way to life eternal with God. Jesus is the only way! Jesus Himself declares in John 14:6- “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Do you need to be saved from the penalty of sin and death?
Jesus has already paid the price at Calvary, therefore, all you have to do is believe by faith that He is the Son of God that died for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead as proof.
There is a song that the saints of old used to sing that the chorus goes like this: Where could I go, where could I go. Seeking a refuge for my soul. Needing a friend to help me in the end. Where could I go but to the Lord.
When all is said and done in this life what you will have left is the consequences or benefits of your acceptance or rejection of Christ while here on earth. Believe it or not, but nothing else will matter.
Salvation is found in no one else but the name of Jesus. Isaiah called Him Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Where do you stand on today concerning the salvation of your soul? Who is your god that you daily worship and confess through your words and actions? Who is he or she? Can they save you?
There is no hope for salvation apart from this Jesus.
Peter specifically says “there is no other name under heaven”. In other words, there is no other name in the world that you can call upon to be saved. There is no other saving power. Salvation only comes by you calling on the name of “JESUS”. It is by that name alone that you and I can be saved, for salvation is found in no on else.
In whose hands have you placed your eternal destination? Where does your hope lies on today? Is it in man, things or the world?
I can only hope and pray not because those things are temporary. Just like our lives, they too are temporary.
Jesus is the only everlasting God. He is the only name given under heaven by which we can be saved.
I pray on today that if you do not know Jesus for the pardon of your sins that you would make this day the day that you do by faith.
Ephesians 2:8-9 Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Life is short, time is swiftly moving and the day of salvation is now. Yes, now is the acceptable time.
In a world becoming darker by the moment, now is the time to seek the Lord while He may be found.
Now is the time more than ever to turn back to our first love. Now is the time to seek the face of God His way (through Christ) and not our own way if we plan to spend eternity with Him.
Yes, we will spend eternity one of 2 places. Either in heaven with God or in hell separated from Him. The decision to accept or reject God’s Son will determine our eternal resting place.
Yes, I know you have been told that everyone dies and goes to heaven, but the bible speaks of a place call hell for all those who reject Christ and choose to serve other gods.
Remember, Jesus is the only guarantee. It it only through Him where salvation can be found.
