1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

Are you being an example to everyone, believers and unbelievers alike? In public and in private? Too many times we see Christians who do not have the same private life as their public lives. The truth is our private and public lives need to be the same. We may be the only Christ some people see and that means we are the example of a believer for a lost and dying world.

Saint Francis of Assisi once said, “Preach the Gospel, when necessary use words.” While our words matter, our actions and attitude matter so much more. Everything we do, has the power to draw people to Christ or push them away. We live in a mission field, the world, where 3 of every 4 people in it do not have the relationship with Christ that we do as a believer. This means over 6 billion people are looking for someone to be the light in their darkness and show them the love of Christ. We have experienced that love and as believer we must be an example in our speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity. This is not just being an example to other believers but to a lost and dying world who needs Christ now, more than ever.

Take time today to make a commitment to not let anything keep you from the call God has on your life. BE the person God has created you to be and BE a light shining in the darkness.
